COMMON CONCERNSLGBTQIA+ Sexual Health & Identity
We stand in full support and allyship with the LGBTQIA+ community.
We recognise the immense healing power that can come with exploring sexuality and identity.
We recognise the importance of finding community, support and belonging.
We recognise the stigma tied to identifying as anything other than cisgender or heterosexual.
We recognise the hardships attached to historical and ongoing oppression and exclusion.
Being inclusive is an ongoing practice, and we are all learning.
Every therapist on our team is someone we'd trust with all of who you are.
Let's talk about queer sex and identity
Whatever your body, your relationship structure, or your history, we talk openly about sexuality, desire, intimacy, body image, and pleasure.
Queer sex deserves the same safe, open, judgment-free conversation as everything else that brings you here.
And a reminder that gets missed too often: a person is no less bisexual if they've only had straight sex, or no less queer if they're only attracted to the same gender sexually.
Exploring identity, orientation & disclosure
Whether you're exploring sexual orientation, sexual behaviours or gender identity, we're here for all of it. You might be seeking relational or sexual support in your relationship(s), or in the process of sharing with the people in your life. No matter where you are or what support you need, we are here.
Being LGBTQIA+ is part of your identity, part of who you are on a fundamental level, and we treat it that way.
We also work with the internalised shame and minority stress that can come from navigating a world that wasn't built with you in mind; including support through gender-affirming medical steps, if that's part of your path.
We follow your language, not the other way around.
Relationships,
non-monogamy & connection
Relationships don't always look like the ones you grew up seeing modelled. We support all relationship structures including ethical non-monogamy, mixed-orientation relationships, and chosen family with the same care as any other relationship work.

You are not alone.
LGBTQIA+ people are more than twice as likely to experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime¹. Much of that is driven by discrimination and a lack of affirming support, not identity itself.
Visibility and real affirming care change outcomes. The sheer diversity and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community is what makes it so healing. Any and all expressions of gender and sexuality are valid, welcome, and so needed. That's what we're here to be part of.
